I been trippin' ya'll. It wasn't until now that I've realized what I been missing in my life. And to ya'll that don't actually LOVE hip hop like IIIIIII love her...you probably won't even understand this blog, but damn it. I haven't been LISTENING to HIP HOP music for the longest. One reason is cause there isn't NEW hip hop coming out like it should and another reason is because I guess lately I've tried to conform...(no I won't say conform, but blend in) to what the mainstream wants. But in the same attempt, I lost my passion for this shit and it became a thing to do for money. " Never let your dreams of success and your passion become SECOND to your want for money. " I've turned my music into a hustle which is a good thing and a bad thing, but you've gotta know WHY you're doing this shit as an artist, otherwise you'll lose sight of things. So anyways, today I've been bumpin some of my old hip hop shit...Common, Lauryn Hill, Talib Kweli...they're the reason why I started loving this hip hop shit. I dont know how I lost myself, but Im back to da hip hop shit. Good 2 Be Home ;)

The second love I lost was poetry. When I cant express myself through rap, I do it through poetry, and vice versa. So as you can probably tell, I've ONLY been rapping lately...cause I couldnt write poems. Guess this is where the whole not putting money before passion thing comes in. I dont really see myself profitting from my poetry..hate to say it, but nobody BUYS MORE than they buy music...am I bein real or not? So..I've focused more time into developing myself as a rapper because people sometimes dont even remember I RAP but they KNOW Im on a poet..Ehh, not a good look. I'm a RAPPER..../POET..../SONGWRITER. Rapper 1st ;) Plz know that about me if you dont know ANYTHING. Anyways, Ima drop a piece in bout 30 mins just to let ya'll know Im still here as a poet. Had to give ya'll an update!
